Chinese Medicine Practitioner

Cheri Saramaga D.Ac, B.Sc.(Ag)

Cheri is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist (CMAAC). In 1997 she graduated from the University of Manitoba where she then worked twenty years for the Federal Government. Her passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine began in her early thirties while suffering from undiagnosed infertility. With changes in diet and exercise along with acupuncture and herbal medicine, Cheri and her husband were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. This life changing experience motivated her to study in Winnipeg at the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture College of Manitoba to become an Acupuncturist.

In her late forties, Cheri began to see and feel the effects of aging, further motivating her to focus on the use of TCM and acupuncture to age better and optimize her overall well-being. This holistic approach to health and beauty appealed to Cheri so she took extra training in acupuncture for facial rejuvenation, facial cupping, facial gua sha and microneedling. Cheri has an Advance Certificate in Facial and Cosmetic Acupuncture with Michelle Gellis Lac Mac DiplAc.

Counsellor

Tiffany Blanchard, Counsellor, MA, CCC

I am Tiffany Blanchard, a Masters in Arts Counselling Psychology graduate and hold a professional membership with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association.  In my current role, I provide brief treatment therapy to individuals dealing with multiple concerns. I can provide therapy preteen, teen, adults and elders using treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Person-Centered, Solution Focused, Strength-Based, Narrative, and Attachment.  I have experience in, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, trauma, family conflict, and stress. My treatment approach is Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Person-Centered, Solution Focused, Strength-Based, Narrative, and Attachment.

My goal in therapy is to be a safe space for you to be heard while working through negative events or thoughts that are creating a road block in moving forward.  It is a judgement free space where you are the expert in your own life and I am there as your support.  We will explore together what it could look like to manage stress or to be able to cope through difficult times.  We often neglect our emotions and stop ourselves from identifying the truth behind our feelings. I will be there to support you through this.

I provide receipts for counselling services. Please contact your benefit provider about reimbursement options.
