What Are the Benefits of Chinese Herbal Medication?

Chinese herbal medication is a basic foundation of the TCM. These are natural remedies prepared from plants, minerals, and other natural substances suitable to provide healing to the individuals. If you're suffering from chronic pain, sick stomach, or just need a stress reliever, Chinese medicine and herbs might just do the trick for you when it comes to your health.

What Can You Expect from Traditional Chinese Therapy?

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has traditional methods such as acupuncture, tuina massage, and qi gong treatments that are specifically designed to stir the process of natural healing within your own body, helping in pain relief, as well as improvement in energy and overall health. Winnipeg clinics, such as Springfield Wellness, offer top-class care alongside a comforting atmosphere.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is an effective ancient Chinese healing medicine that has been used for over 3000 years. Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that illness is caused by a disruption of Qi (life force energy) in the body. Inserting very thin, sterile needles into specific acupuncture points on the body restores the flow of Qi, corrects imbalances, and enhances the body’s ability to heal itself.

What are the Benefits of Acupuncture Therapy?

Acupuncture therapy has many cascading benefits, such as relief from chronic pain, improvement of sleep, a decrease in stress, and better overall well-being. It stands out as being highly effective for anxiety management and overcoming back pain. Most persons begin to find out what acupuncture would be able to address by way of a natural and holistic remedy for handling pain and stress.

What is Facial Rejuvenation?

Accumulation of tension in facial, jaw and scalp muscles are a main factor that leads to sagging, wrinkling and dullness that many wrongly attribute to aging. Specialized acupuncture releases the tension in facial tissues that suffer persistent forces of facial expressions, stress, and worry. It increases circulation and brings Qi and Blood to the face boosting oxygen and nutrients needed for healthy tissue. A series of 8 to 10 treatments is recommended. We will avoid facial areas treated with Botox within 3 weeks or fillers within 3 months.

What is Cupping Therapy?

Cupping therapy is another ancient practice that uses suction cups to boost blood circulation, relieve muscle tension, and release toxins from the body. Very often, basic acupuncture procedures are performed together with cupping in order to enhance the recuperative process and furnish additional relief, especially in backache and muscle tightness cases.

Cheri Saramaga

Cheri is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist (CMAAC). In 1997 she graduated from the University of Manitoba where she then worked twenty years for the Federal Government. Her passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine began in her early thirties while suffering from undiagnosed infertility. With changes in diet and exercise along with acupuncture and herbal medicine, Cheri and her husband were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. This life changing experience motivated her to study in Winnipeg at the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture College of Manitoba to become an Acupuncturist.

In her late forties, Cheri began to see and feel the effects of aging, further motivating her to focus on the use of TCM and acupuncture to age better and optimize her overall well-being. This holistic approach to health and beauty appealed to Cheri so she took extra training in acupuncture for facial rejuvenation, facial cupping, facial gua sha and microneedling. Cheri has an Advance Certificate in Facial and Cosmetic Acupuncture with Michelle Gellis Lac Mac DiplAc.
